Kebony, a Norwegian wood manufacturer with an innovative mission, has chosen Antwerp as its first international location. This new factory, focused on sustainability and environmentally friendly production, is a showcase of innovation and contributes to a lower ecological footprint.
Kebony was looking for an innovative drying solution that would complement its patented wood finishing technology. The drying kiln had to contribute to efficient, safe, and environmentally friendly production. The BES Bollmann solution not only provides a fully controlled drying process, but also ensures optimal quality and long-term durability of the final product.
Sustainable softwood
To produce its high-quality Kebony® wood, the company uses a patented technology that injects a bio-engineered liquid into sustainably sourced softwood. This process gives the wood the robust properties of tropical hardwood, with a rich brown color and exceptional durability.
BES Bollmann provided an innovative drying solution for this unique wood product. Integrated into the production process, this solution ensures that the wood retains its high-quality properties. The factory is also connected to Ecluse’s green steam network, further reinforcing Kebony’s commitment to sustainability.
