Onze klant, Platowood, had behoefte aan een nieuwe kamer voor het thermisch modificeren van hout nadat hun eerdere installatie was afgebrand. In slechts vijf maanden werd door BES Bollmann een nieuwe installatie ontworpen, gerealiseerd en operationeel gemaakt.
The new kiln is constructed entirely from stainless steel, gas-tight welded, and equipped with innovative booster heaters positioned between the wood stacks to ensure optimal and uniform heat transfer.
Treatment room
This unique design ensures an even more homogeneous heating process and significantly enhances safety. The drying kiln can heat wood to 200 °C within five hours in a low-oxygen environment, keeping the wood above its auto-ignition temperature under fully controlled conditions.
In addition, the installation is equipped with water seals on the roof, which guarantee a 100% gas-tight seal, preventing any oxygen from entering the kiln.
